The Battle Proms Concert at the stunning Burghley House promises an unforgettable afternoon and evening of music, pageantry and breathtaking displays — all set in the magnificent parkland overlooking this grand Elizabethan masterpiece.

Now in its 29th year, the Battle Proms is the longest-running picnic proms series in the UK, delighting audiences of over 30,000 every summer. It’s the very definition of a quintessentially British “party in the park” – complete with orchestral favourites, fireworks, cavalry displays and a touch of vintage glamour.

The Programme:

• Gates open 4.30pm (car parks from 2.00pm) – enjoy live jazz and swing dancing to set the mood
• Gun Salute to open proceedings
• 6.15pm – Cavalry Display featuring thundering horses and precision riding
• 6.45pm – The Red Devils Parachute Display Team drop in with a flourish
• 7.55pm – The Evening Gun Salute
• 8.00pm – Spitfire Air Display – the unmistakable sound of history in flight!
• 8.00–10.30pm – Main Concert with the New English Concert Orchestra, hosted by BBC’s Pam Rhodes, plus soprano Denise Leigh (as seen on Britain’s Got Talent)
• 10.30pm – Fireworks Finale accompanied by Land of Hope and Glory, Rule Britannia, and Jerusalem
