Based directly on the riverfront in the picturesque town of Boppard, this holiday combines historic charm, steep vine-clad hills, and iconic river scenery. Stroll among twinkling fairy lights and decorated wooden chalets in Boppard’s historic market square, discover Koblenz where the Rhine meets the Mosel, marvel at the famed Loreley Rock, explore popular Rüdesheim, and take in the historic sights of Cochem.
Snapshot Itinerary:
- Day 1 (Thu 2nd Dec) – Channel Crossing & Journey to Boppard: Board our DFDS Channel crossing to Calais. Travel past Bruges, Ghent, and Koblenz onward to Boppard to check into the 4★ Bellevue Rheinhotel for our 4-night stay, starting with a welcome drink and porter service before our 3-course evening meal.
- Day 2 (Fri 3rd Dec) – Boppard at Leisure & Christmas Market: A relaxing day at leisure in Boppard. Enjoy the hotel’s pool and spa, stroll along the Rhine promenade, and explore the bustling historic streets and festive market stalls in the town square.
- Day 3 (Sat 4th Dec) – Koblenz, The German Corner & Cochem: Full-day excursion starting with a stop in Koblenz to see the iconic German Corner where the Rhine and Mosel meet, continuing west along the scenic Mosel Valley into historic Cochem.
- Day 4 (Sun 5th Dec) – The Rhine Valley, Loreley Rock & Rüdesheim: Scenic day exploring the Rhine Gorge, travelling past St Goarshausen and the towering Loreley Rock to Rüdesheim, with time to explore the famous Drosselgasse.
- Day 5 (Mon 6th Dec) – Homeward Journey: After a hot buffet breakfast, check out and travel west through Belgium and northern France for our short Channel crossing back to Dover and home.
