Step back in time to experience a traditional Christmas past at the famous Beamish Open Air Museum, marvel at fine art inside the magnificent French-style château of The Bowes Museum, and enjoy leisure time exploring historic Durham and the scenic Durham Dales.
Snapshot Itinerary:
- Day 1 (Thu 25th Nov) – Arrival in Durham: Travel north to County Durham and check in to the 4★ Radisson Blu Hotel with porter service included. Settle into your room before our first delicious evening meal.
- Day 2 (Fri 26th Nov) – Beamish Open Air Museum: Spend the day at the famous Beamish Open Air Museum to experience the magic of traditional seasonal celebrations across recreated historic towns and villages.
- Day 3 (Sat 27th Nov) – Durham at Leisure & Festive Celebrations: Enjoy a day at leisure to explore the historic city centre of Durham, its iconic cathedral, and riverside walks, followed by seasonal hotel entertainment and festive dining.
- Day 4 (Sun 28th Nov) – The Bowes Museum & Durham Dales: Head south to Barnard Castle to visit the spectacular Bowes Museum, followed by a visit to the Durham Dales Centre in Stanhope.
- Day 5 (Mon 29th Nov) – Homeward Journey: After a full English buffet breakfast, we check out and begin our journey home with wonderful festive memories of County Durham.
